Product Recommendation: Dior Crème de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm

Over the past 2 years, I’ve been obsessing over high end lip balms and I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect little miracle maker. By Terry’s Baume de Rose used to be my holy grail lip balm all throughout 2012, but after losing that very expensive jar, I decided it was time to try a few different brands. After purchasing quite a few on a whim one time while I was browsing in David Jones, it’s safe to say that I’ve found something much better than By Terry’s Baume de Rose, and for half the price as well. This product is honestly a must have for damaged lips and for those of you wanting your lips to feel as soft as a baby’s bottom. I cannot rate and recommend this enough!

Dior’s Crème de Rose is a smoothing, plumping lip balm containing SPF 10. Claims to hydrate, soothe, re-plump and protect the lips from sun damage. An intensely nourishing lip balm that has a delicate rose scent making it super addictive to use day and night.

Crème de Rose is enriched with damask rose oil extracts and contains vitamins A & E as well as shea butter making it the perfect product to help regenerate and energize the lips and provides a smoothing anti-wrinkle effect.

This luxurious lip balm also provides the lips with a universal shade of pink, which is perfect for those lazy makeup days where you just want a hint of colour but aren’t willing to commit to wearing a lipstick.

I personally use this as an overnight treatment for my lips and it feels very creamy and moisturising. For those of you that know me well, you’d know that I get the most ridiculously dry and chapped lips, even during the Summer. This product works wonders for me and I wake up with the most softest and kissable lips, not to mention I can still feel some leftover product on my lips the next morning, so it’s very long-lasting.

The only downside is that it didn’t help to re-plump my lips, is quite expensive for a lip balm (about $45-$50) that I go through in less than 6 months and that SPF 10 is quite a low rating for everyday use as the recommended minimum is SPF 15- which is why I use this solely as an overnight treatment.
